A little bit about me (:

I'm Vanessa (: I was born in Sturbridge, MA July 12, 1994. I then moved to Missouri on my 1st birthday. Instead of living life like a normal teenager, I live mine on wheels. I was paralyzed April 30th, 2011 in a Rodeo accident leaving me a T4 Complete Paraplegic. Before my accident I was a cheerleader, gymnast, runner, weight lifter, diver, swimmer, pole vaulter, and also a volunteer at a Theraputic Riding Center, leading horses and also side walking. Since my accident I've constantly been on the go. I'm only 17, there's no way I'm letting a wheelchair stop me from anything. I play wheelchair basketball, participate in road races, go to the gym and participate in ZUMBA classes, and go to my local rehab center to ride the FES bike and lift weights. Im a Senior in High School and will be graduating in May 2012. I keep telling people I am disabled, not unable. I'm looking forward to Skydiving, College, Scuba Diving, Parasailing, racing in a marathon, and who knows what else in the future (: I hope My Perfectly Imperfect Life In The Making is as interesting for you as it is for me!
